Let’s take a look at the book club picks for April 2025!

We are officially in spring reading season! I just love springtime, with all the fresh flowers and produce. Plus, there are so many new reads publishing during these spring months.

As always, my monthly list features three new releases and two older titles. I like to provide the mix of both since some want to read the hottest new releases, while other book clubs like to select books that have been out in the world for a while (which also means less library holds and such).

And if you’re looking for more reads, check out my most-anticipated book club books of 2025 list!

OK, time for the April list!

New Titles

Say You’ll Remember Me by Abby Jimenez (April 1)

Abby Jimenez is one of the most popular authors—her books are always hitting several bestsellers lists. She truly captures the human experience from passionate romances to the hardships that can happen in life. And her latest promises to be another fantastic read.

Say You’ll Remember Me is an emotional romance where one date is all it takes for two people to know they’re perfect for each other . . . until one of them moves 2,000 miles away the next day.

The Sirens by Emilia Hart

For a unique story, check out The Sirens by Emilia Hart. It’s a spellbinding novel about sisters separated by centuries, but bound together by the sea. The publisher says as this is a breathtaking tale of female resilience and the bonds of sisterhood across time and space, The Sirens captures the power of dreams, and the mystery and magic of the sea.

The Griffin Sisters’ Greatest Hits by Jennifer Weiner (April 8)

Jennifer Weiner is a big-time successful author of so many different kinds of stories. For 20+ years, Jennifer has dominated the women’s fiction category selling more than 11 million copies in 36 languages. There’s a ton of buzz with her latest, The Griffin Sisters’ Greatest Hits, which is a deeply moving novel set against the glitz and chaos of early 2000s pop stardom.

Leaning into her early days as a (pop) culture reporter—and informed by subsequent decades of social and gender critiques—Jennifer’s put her wealth of sharp and insightful expertise to work.

Older Titles

The Wedding People by Alison Espach

I just finished The Wedding People, and really enjoyed it. This is a story about a woman with nothing to lose, a chaotic wedding and much more. While the cover and title seems like a light read, this is quite heavy at times, and deals with several serious topics. This is certainly not a romance, but not literary fiction either. It’s commercial fiction that really deeps dive into the characters.

First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston

If you’re looking for a quick, readable thriller, check out First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston. It’s a little ridiculous at times, but that’s kind of the point in these kinds of reads, right? Suspend disbelief a bit.

The story follows Evie Porter, who seems to have it all: perfect boyfriend, huge house in the South, going to fancy parties, and more. But turns out, Evie Porter doesn’t actually exist.
