Editorial Note – I was given a copy of American Spy by Lauren Wilkinson in return for a review. American Spy by Lauren Wilkinson is a sensational spy novel with plenty of depth, intrigue and complexity. Don’t miss out on this one!
Editorial Note – I was given a copy of Sophie Kinsella’s I Owe You One in return for a review. I Owe You One by Sophie Kinsella is a charming novel about a woman finding her inner confidence. An easy read for a lazy Saturday or when you’re on vacation!
Editorial Note – I was given a copy of E.G. Scott’s The Woman Inside in return for a review. The Woman Inside by E.G. Scott is full of nonstop tension in this domestic thriller about a marriage plagued by deception.
Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty is about nine people gathered at a remote health resort. The premise is interesting but the actual story itself veers off into different directions without a cohesive theme.
The Air You Breathe by Frances de Pontes Peebles is a moving tale of a friendship that is as rich and complex as the samba itself. A story full of love and tragedy, it’s about two girls achieving their dreams and learning it doesn’t guarantee happiness.
Editorial Note – I was given a copy of Kate Atkinson’s Transcription in return for a review. Transcription by Kate Atkinson is a British spy novel full of unexpected twists and turns. It’s a historical fiction story with some mystery and even humor, too. I really enjoyed it.
Limelight by Amy Poeppel is everything I hoped it would be and more. Full of humor with plenty of heart, it’s such an enjoyable book. This is Poeppel’s second book and I really like her writing style. There’s such an ease to it and the witty dialogue is fresh and realistic.

Released in 2015, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah hit several bestseller lists with plans for a screenplay adaptation. I’m an avid reader of all different kinds of genres but I kept putting this one off. I felt I had to be ‘ready’ for it in a sense and I am now.
Taylor Jenkins Reid is one of my favorite authors: her characters are authentic and her stories can be heart-wrenching but hopeful at the same time. Her previous books, Forever, Interrupted, After I Do, Maybe In Another Life and One True Loves, are each worth a read as they feature contemporary settings and every day protagonists. However, …
Wow, The Italian Teacher by Tom Rachman is an experience. It was heartbreaking at times, humorous at other moments but I felt it was a complete story with a satisfying conclusion. The below review will contain some spoilers so if you haven’t read the novel yet, head over to my preview that will give you …
