The Italian Teacher by Tom Rachman is about a son of a legendary painter looking to craft his own legacy. I’ve read Rachman’s previous work, The Imperfectionists back in 2011, which is a fiction book set in Rome detailing the lives of editors, reporters and executives at an international English-newspaper.

Between Me and You is the seventh book from Allison Winn Scotch (you can read my review of her sixth book In Twenty Years here). I enjoyed In Twenty Years and I really like Allison’s writing style so I’m eager to read her latest one.
