Lina—she’s horribly assaulted in high school. One area she truly craves is to be kissed passionately. Let’s discuss why she embarked on the affair with Aidan. Even though her happiness is mostly revolved around him—how did this affair allow her to take control of her narrative again?
Sloane—she’s seems to have it all, a successful career, happy marriage and kids. But her husband pushes her to have sex with other people in front of him. She enjoys it sometimes and other times, not as much. Let’s talk about Sloane. Why do you think she agreed to the open marriage? Do you think it will continue?
Maggie—at such a young age, she was taken advantage of by a much older man in Hawaii. And then preyed on by her English teacher, Aaron Knodel. Let’s talk about how she was manipulated by Aaron and also the aftermath. Why do you think that community was quick to defend Aaron and dismiss Maggie?
Of the three women—Lina, Sloane and Maggie—which one did you relate to the most?
