Let’s take a closer look at the book club picks for February 2025!

I hope your reading year is off to a great start! I began 2025 with Homeseeking by Karissa Chen and it was fantastic—highly recommend. The Three Lives of Cate Kay by Kate Fagan was also a good and interesting read.

For each month, I put together a list of three new releases and two previously-released titles to help with your upcoming book club selection. And if you’re looking for even more new releases, check out my huge book club 2025 list here.

It’s time to get to the February picks!

New Titles

Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis (out now)

I just picked up this novel last night and I did not want to put it down. Fiona Davis is such a talented writer of historical fiction and her latest is so intriguing. It goes from 1930s Egypt to NYC in the ’70s and involves a missing Egyptian artifact, a night at the Met Gala and more.

Highly recommend this one for historical fiction lovers!

This Is a Love Story by Jessica Soffer (February 4)

This Is a Love Story features blurbs from bestselling authors Ann Napolitano and Liz Moore, which is very promising! The story serves as a homage to New York City, romance and loss as a married couple recounts their lives together, as one is dying.

It sounds heavy, but quite impactful. An ideal read for those who enjoy literary fiction.

You Are Fatally Invited by Ande Pliego (February 11)

For those seeking a thriller, check out You Are Fatally Invited by Ande Pliego. The story follows a writer’s retreat hosted on a private island. But everything shifts when one of the authors is found murdered. This highly anticipated debut is said to be twisty, but also fun? We’ll see!

If you’re looking for a new thriller, it sounds like a promising one to add to your list.

Older Titles

If you’re looking for a romance, highly recommend This Summer Will Be Different by Carley Fortune. It’s a forbidden lovers romance about a woman falling in love with her best friend’s brother. It was my first book I’ve read by Carly Fortune and I really liked her writing. Quite moving in parts for sure.

Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera

If you like to read thrillers during the winter, check out Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera. It follows a woman who is not sure if she murdered her best friend (just roll with it) as she finally returns to her hometown to find out the truth about what happened that night.

It was pretty entertaining, and randomly even funny at times, which was unexpected.

Happy reading!
